Use your saved work with AI
Understand which saved sources can inform an answer and what the context control changes.
Use my saved work lets Ask AI build on selected information saved to your OpenBuilder account. It does not mean the assistant can see every draft or everything on your screen.
Before you start
Sign in with the account that owns the work. Save the relevant Lab answer or pitch first, then check its saved state. Text that exists only in an unsaved form or browser draft may not be available to the assistant.
Choose the context for an answer
- Open Ask AI.
- Saved work starts off until you explicitly choose. Read the source explanation, then choose Keep saved work off or Allow selected saved work. You can change Use my saved work later. With it off, Ask AI still uses your question, the current conversation and page.
- Ask a focused question about the decision you are working on.
- Check Built on your saved work beneath the response. Open those links to confirm that the assistant used the information you intended.
- If a needed source is absent, add a short, anonymised summary to your question instead of assuming it was read.
What can be included
The current selection includes your saved venture question and stage, current action, up to three recent venture evidence records, assistant preferences, selected Lab responses and learning activity, a saved pitch and supported Finance Lab practice or reviewed planning inputs. Workspace sources are read for your account when answering; unsaved drafts and mentor-private notes are excluded.
The selection is limited. It does not include every tool draft, every uploaded file or all historical work. Finance simulation results are practice; founder-entered planning figures are not independently verified financial records.
If the source is missing
No saved work was available means the answer did not find usable saved context. Save a supported piece of work and try again. Your saved work could not be used indicates a retrieval problem; retry after checking your connection.
The setting is remembered for your account in that browser when storage is available and shared between the two assistant interfaces. Missing, unreadable or invalid preferences start off. If storage is blocked, an explicit choice works in the currently open interfaces but may not survive reopening; check it again. Another account or device does not inherit your choice. Relevant selected context is sent to the configured AI service when you allow it; inspect the source links beneath the answer. Including context is not the same as training a model on your venture, and it does not guarantee a correct recommendation.
