Prepare your funding and investor evidence

Use saved work to identify preparation gaps and explain why a type of capital fits your next milestone.

Capital Readiness brings together signals from your saved venture work so you can see what needs attention. It supports preparation; it does not certify your business or approve it for funding.

Before you start

Sign in and save the relevant work in your Labs and tools. Useful material may include a pitch, customer evidence, financial scenarios, due-diligence work and a capital plan. Readiness depends on what has actually been saved, not just which pages you visited.

Review the six areas

Open Capital Readiness and read the status for your venture story, traction, economics, governance, capital plan and outreach.

  1. Identify an area with a missing or incomplete record.
  2. Read what the area is checking and which saved item it found.
  3. Use its action to open the relevant tool or workspace.
  4. Improve the underlying work and save it.
  5. Return to review the remaining gaps.

If the page says it could not verify saved work, retry before recreating it. An unavailable read is different from having no work saved.

Build a capital-fit brief

In Evidence and capital fit:

  1. Choose the type of capital you are considering: customer revenue, grants, lending, patient capital or equity.
  2. Describe the need, intended use and next milestone.
  3. Explain the fit, costs or constraints you need to examine, and evidence gaps.
  4. Select relevant venture evidence.
  5. Choose Save capital brief and wait for confirmation, or export a copy.

The brief can remain private. If you request reviewer access, read the consent carefully: sharing the brief and sharing selected sources are separate choices. A saved review request does not promise reviewer availability. Existing feedback is tied to the version reviewed; later edits may need another review.

Prepare for a conversation

Use the investor directory to research fit and the outreach pipeline to organise your own follow-up where appropriate. An introduction request is not a confirmed introduction or a funding decision.

Start with the evidence behind your claim and the question you need answered. For example, distinguish measured customer demand from an assumption in your revenue or runway model. Keep unresolved gaps visible instead of making the pitch sound more certain than the work supports.
