Ask AI is unavailable

Distinguish live AI, library answers and connection problems, then recover without losing your question.

Read the notice beneath the answer before retrying. A library response, missing saved context and an interrupted live answer need different next steps.

If you cannot send a question

  1. Sign in. Opening the assistant on a public page does not provide anonymous chat access.
  2. Wait for any Loading your conversation state to finish. You can draft the question while it loads.
  3. Check that your question contains text and that another response is not still running.
  4. If a response is stuck, use Stop response, keep a copy of the question and retry after checking your connection.
  5. If the notice says your session expired, sign in again with the same account.

If only library material appears

Library answer · live AI unavailable means live generation could not complete the request. The reading may still be useful, but it is not a personalized live-model response.

If the message says the current limit was reached, wait and try again later. If it says an administrator needs to finish setup or attend to the connection, report the notice through technical support. Members do not need to supply API keys.

If saved work was not used

Confirm Use my saved work is on, then inspect the source links beneath the answer. No saved work was available and Your saved work could not be used describe context retrieval, not the loss of your original work.

Save a supported Lab answer or one-sentence pitch, retry, or include a short anonymised summary. The assistant does not automatically read every tool draft. See saved-work limits.

If an answer is cut off or hard to read

An interrupted answer can retain partial text. Treat it as incomplete and ask again or request the missing part. Scroll inside the conversation area to review earlier messages; expanding the assistant can provide more reading space.

Voice controls depend on browser support and microphone permission. Use typed input if they are unavailable. If scrolling or layout still fails, report your device, browser, page and the assistant mode, with a redacted screenshot.
