Request help with your next decision

Prepare a focused support brief, control what you share and understand the receipt you receive.

A useful support request gives someone enough context to help you make one decision. OpenBuilder offers private evidence briefs, Lab guidance requests and mentor conversations. Their receipts mean different things.

Before you start

Sign in to your founder account. If you are new, use I need help. To attach evidence to a private brief, first save a supported source in your venture work. You can ask for Lab guidance before completing the whole Lab.

Prepare a private evidence brief

  1. Open the founder workspace, then People & deeper experiments under Support & learning.
  2. Find Bring your work into a support conversation and choose Prepare a support brief.
  3. Describe the decision you need help with and select a saved evidence source.
  4. Edit Excerpt to share. Remove details the reviewer does not need. Editing the excerpt leaves the original source unchanged.
  5. Mark whether the evidence is practice or your real, founder-reported work. Add one question for the reviewer.
  6. Choose Preview shared brief and read exactly what will be shared.
  7. If intake is available, confirm your consent and choose Send to support.

If the source changed after selection, select it again and review the updated excerpt before sharing.

Understand what happens next

Only a successfully saved submission shows a receipt and request reference. A receipt confirms the request, not helper acceptance, a useful response or an appointment. Follow the response in My support requests. Email delivery is separate from whether the request was saved. If submission is uncertain, keep the brief and use the existing retry action rather than starting duplicate requests.

Your unsubmitted brief is saved on the current device for your account. Download it if device storage is unavailable or you need a separate copy.

Other ways to ask

Inside a Lab, Request lab guidance asks for your topic, challenge, goals and preferred time. Its saved receipt confirms a request; the session is confirmed when its status is scheduled.

For a particular operator, follow the mentor guide. For a broken page or sign-in problem, use technical support. Keep general peer questions on the Ask/Offer board.

Response time depends on accepted coverage and the request path. For accepted managed-pilot cases, the service clock uses Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:00 Africa/Kampala (EAT, UTC+3), excluding configured closures. This is not a promise of continuous online staffing or a response within 15 minutes. General and WhatsApp enquiries have no guaranteed response time. Check the status and specific next review shown on your request. OpenBuilder is not an emergency service.
